About the Role

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an International Collaboration Specialist to join our team in Research Services. As a key member of the Trusted Research team, you will play a pivotal role in enabling the University's vital international research collaborations in an increasingly dynamic environment.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work directly with researchers to identify risks related to the trusted research agenda; due diligence, export control, National Security and Investment Act. You will support researchers advising them of appropriate actions and enabling their research activity; liaising with colleagues in professional services as appropriate.

Responsibilities
  • Raise internal awareness of trusted research matters and provide training for a wide range of research and research-related staff through various means such as training sessions, community of practice, expert networks, and surgeries.
  • Participate actively in external networks and project groups like the Higher Education Export Control Association.
  • Brief senior members of the University and contribute to national consultations using your experience.
About You

To be successful in this varied and interesting role, you must be confident in dealing with people, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to work with individuals at all levels with tact, diplomacy, and discretion. You should be able to grasp complex information, identify key issues, and develop pragmatic advice. Comfortable working independently and within a team is essential.
