**Job Description**

We are looking for an experienced Accounting and Compliance Specialist to join our team at BAE Systems. In this role, you will support managers in their engagements with the customer Audit team, representing the company professionally and with integrity. You will also update models to calculate robust and timely Actual, Forecast, and Estimate Business Rates.

Key responsibilities include liaising regularly with partners in FP&A and Finance Business Partner to collect high-quality audit query responses. You will assist with the development of presentation materials for internal and external stakeholders (briefings, awareness training, etc). Additionally, you will contribute to the rates capability centre's transformation journey through sharing of learning, ongoing collaboration, delivery of change work packages, and active engagement with other team members.

To be successful in this role, you will need a basic understanding of the role of rates in business planning processes, bid work, and cost recovery. Experience using ERP systems/financial reporting toolsets is essential, as well as proficiency in Microsoft products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Part-qualified or qualified by experience is preferred, with financial modelling skills being highly desirable.
