About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Recovery Specialist to join our team at Two Saints. As a key member of our crisis intervention service, you will provide telephone, email, or face-to-face support to adults with mental health diagnoses during evenings and weekends.

Your primary goal will be to understand the reasons behind an individual's crisis and work collaboratively with them to reduce the crisis and minimize the need for emergency intervention.

You will be responsible for recording and maintaining accurate client records, ensuring risk assessments and safety plans are detailed and up-to-date.

Additionally, you will be effective in de-escalating difficult situations, adhering to lone working and safeguarding policies.

To succeed in this role, you will have a good knowledge of partner agencies and additional services that support individuals in the community to manage their mental health.

You will also contribute to maintaining a welcoming and safe environment, identifying and minimizing potential risks to users of the premises and the organization.

Previous experience in this field is not essential, but you will have a genuine passion for working within a mental health service and a commitment to helping others.

Key Skills and Qualifications:

  • Clear verbal and written English skills
  • Knowledge of Mental Health First Aid
  • An interest and genuine concern for mental health, homelessness, and related issues
