Job Summary

The Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead Council is seeking a highly skilled Health Protection Specialist to join our dynamic public health team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in safeguarding public health and making a real difference in our community.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with system partners to develop and implement health protection plans, including infection prevention and control, vaccination, and immunization programs.
  • Provide public health advice, scrutiny, and challenge to ensure the local health protection system is robust and resilient.
  • Monitor health hazards and threats, and collaborate with others to warn, inform, and advise the public on how to keep well and avoid illness.
  • Assure the Director of Public Health that plans are in place across the health and care system to protect people from threats and hazards to their health.
