About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as an Estimating Specialist, offering a competitive salary and the opportunity for career advancement within our reputable company.
Key Responsibilities- Research and investigate the costs of materials, transportation, labor, and equipment required for projects.
- Secure quotes from suppliers and contractors within specified timeframes to ensure accurate estimations.
- Assess risk levels associated with each project to inform decision-making processes.
- Assist in the preparation of bids for new contracts and provide support to buyers in procurement activities.
- Prepare and submit detailed quotations and cost breakdowns for proposed work.
- Monitor project costs at different stages to ensure adherence to estimated budgets.
- Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and vendors to facilitate smooth project execution.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- A minimum of 3 years experience in an Estimating role within main contracting.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Prior experience in estimating or related field preferred.
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools.
- Willingness to undergo training and development to progress to a senior role.
