Job Title: Chef Manager

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Chef Manager to join our team at Blessed George Napier School. As a key member of our catering team, you will be responsible for the operational efficiency of our catering service, planning and managing the development of our catering provision for pupils, staff, and special events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the catering service, ensuring high standards of staff management, hygiene, and health and safety.
  • Plan and develop menus that meet the nutritional needs of our students, staff, and special events.
  • Supervise and train catering staff to ensure excellent customer service and high-quality food preparation.
  • Collaborate with the school's leadership team to ensure the catering service aligns with the school's values and mission.
  • Manage budgets and resources to ensure the catering service operates efficiently and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices, with the ability to maintain high standards in the catering service.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, as required.
