We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teacher to support students with SEMH difficulties in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About The Education Network Warrington

The Education Network Warrington specialises in supporting students with SEND and SEMH needs across the northwest. We currently support a local SEMH school with a good all-round curriculum and are looking for a qualified teacher who can support across the school.

The Role

As a SEN Teacher, you will play a pivotal role in creating and delivering engaging lessons tailored to meet the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties. You will help foster a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, working closely with our multidisciplinary team, including therapists and support staff, to ensure holistic care and development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan and deliver creative, differentiated lessons that cater to the specific needs of SEMH students.
  • Build strong, positive relationships with students, offering emotional and academic support.
  • Work collaboratively with teaching assistants, support staff, and external agencies to ensure effective support for each pupil.
  • Monitor and assess pupils’ progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop essential life skills.
  • Ensure a safe, nurturing, and structured learning environment.
Requirements:

We are looking for a qualified teacher with:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH or similar needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the challenges faced by students with SEMH and effective strategies to support them.
  • Excellent communication, patience, and resilience.
  • Ability to inspire, motivate, and engage students who may present challenging behaviour.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is approximately £24,000 per annum, based on 15 hours of work per week.
