About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and inspirational Catering Manager to join our team at Rampton Hospital. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our food services and ensuring that our patients and staff receive the highest quality meals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Management responsibility for the delivery of a comprehensive high-quality and cost-effective catering service to customers at Rampton Hospital.
  • Support strategic development of Catering Services across the Facilities Directorate.
  • Lead a team of catering professionals to achieve operational excellence and improve patient care and staff wellbeing.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic Literacy & Numeracy skills.
  • Intermediate Food Hygiene (Level 3) certification.

Desirable qualifications include:

  • HCIMA/BTEC National Diploma.
  • Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4) certification.
Experience and Skills

We require a candidate with:

  • Experience supervising in a catering environment, preferably in an NHS setting.
  • Knowledge of an operational catering environment at supervisory level, including HACCP procedures, Risk and Budgetary Management.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desirable skills include:

  • Management of a large operational Catering Team in an NHS Setting.
  • Experience of menu planning.
