Academy Catering Director

Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly experienced and inspirational Catering Manager to join our team at Rampton Hospital. As a key member of our catering department, you will play a crucial role in reshaping and enhancing our food services to improve patient care and staff wellbeing.
Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Catering Manager, you will be responsible for managing the delivery of a comprehensive high-quality and cost-effective catering service to our patients and staff. This will involve introducing new technologies to transform our catering services, achieving efficiencies, and demonstrating strategic thinking and effective operational management.
You will also be responsible for supporting the strategic development of Catering Services across the Facilities Directorate, managing a large operational Catering Team, and ensuring compliance with HACCP procedures, Risk and Budgetary Management, and Health & Safety Policies and Procedures.
Requirements- City & Guilds 706/2 or equivalent
- Basic Literacy & Numeracy
- HCIMA/BTEC National Diploma
- Advanced Food Hygiene (Level 4)
- Experience supervising in a catering environment, preferably in an NHS setting
- Management of a large operational Catering Team in an NHS Setting
- Experience of menu planning
- Knowledge of an operational catering environment at supervisory level, including HACCP procedures, Risk and Budgetary Management
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
- Knowledge of current Catering associated legislation
- Knowledge of Food Production/Service procedures and stock control systems
- Knowledge of cleaning and catering practices and associated legislation
- Knowledge of NHS key standards for Catering
- Knowledge of a high Secure setting & patient/client issues
