Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Behaviour Support Specialist to join our team at Teaching Vacancies. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support with operating the school's behaviour support system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Positive Behaviour Manager, Senior Leadership Team and Pastoral Teams to promote positive behaviour across the school.
  • Support students and colleagues in achieving their goals and improving academic performance.
  • Develop and implement effective behaviour support strategies to reengage students and improve their academic outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to identify and address barriers to learning and behaviour.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on behaviour management and support strategies.

Requirements:

  • Ability to form good working relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and be flexible in working practices and the ability to know when to use initiative.
  • High degree of professionalism in your approach to work and tasks set.
  • Ability to be a good role model for students and colleagues.
  • Experience of working with/caring for children or adults who have barriers to learning and/or special educational needs/behaviour issues.
  • Experience working as part of a team.
