We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Engineering to join our team at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a Lecturer in Engineering, you will be responsible for teaching a range of subjects on Engineering-related courses, predominantly at level 2 and level 3. Your expertise will be in areas such as Engineering maths/science and General mechanical.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Teaching and assessing students on Engineering-related courses
  • Coordinating the delivery of tutorial, pastoral, and additional learning support
  • Providing distance learning support for groups of students
  • Visiting employers and workplaces to provide work placement support
  • Supervising learning programmes and supporting student employability
  • Participating in community and personal enrichment activities

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
  • Level 3 apprenticeship and industry experience or Degree in a relevant subject
  • Current evidence-based practice in the field of expertise
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience to work with students of all ages
