We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lecturer in Engineering to join our team at Bournemouth and Poole College. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning experiences to our students, focusing on Engineering-related courses at levels 2 and 3.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Teach a range of subjects, including Engineering maths/science and General mechanical
  • Assess and enhance learner progress by coordinating the delivery of tutorial, pastoral, and additional learning support
  • Deliver scheduled teaching, student assignments, and tutorials
  • Provide distance learning support for groups of students
  • Visit employers and workplaces to facilitate work placements
  • Supervise learning programmes and support activities related to employability, work experience, and volunteering
Requirements:
  • Level 2 (or equivalent) English and Maths Teaching Qualification or willingness to achieve within 2 years
  • Level 3 apprenticeship and industry experience or Degree in a relevant subject
  • Current evidence-based practice in the field of expertise
  • Competency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Flexible, adaptable, and resilient, able to work with students of all ages
