Education Assistant for Additional Needs Support

Salary: £18-£20 per hour, paid weekly through PAYE. This salary range is based on the job requirements and the location of the school in BS15.
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to support a child with additional needs in a primary school in Bristol. The ideal candidate will have a passion for making a difference in children's lives and possess excellent communication skills. As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to provide 1:1 support and occasional group support to the whole class.
The role requires patience, a friendly approach, and a good sense of humour. You will be responsible for supporting children with their learning, managing pupil behaviour, and reporting safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support children with their learning
- Manage pupil behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment
- Carry out small group work and support children with additional needs
- Report any safeguarding concerns using the school's referral procedures and safeguarding policies
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you must have relevant qualifications and training for working with children with additional needs. Experience in a similar setting is highly desirable.
