Job Description

CV Technical is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our production facility, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure the production facility runs safely and efficiently.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and implement changes to enhance our operations.
  • Conduct daily checks of workload and ensure tasks are completed as required.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure safe and efficient running of the plant.
  • Work with various equipment, including saws, edge banders, bearings, gearboxes, belts, chains, and cutters.
Requirements
  • Minimum NVQ LV3 Mechanical discipline.
  • Completed a four-year recognized apprenticeship.
  • Competency in hydraulics, pneumatics, lubrication, vibration analysis, and alignment.
  • Fault finding and fabrication skills.
  • Desirable: experience within sawmills/wood products and welding.
