Job Title: Clinical Lead

Trauma Resus, a leading provider of high-quality pre-hospital and in-hospital care training, clinical governance, consultancy services, medical equipment, and offshore medics, is seeking a Clinical Lead to join our team.

Job Summary

We are looking for a highly experienced and skilled Clinical Lead to lead on all aspects of clinical governance for our offshore medic provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance across our client group.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead on clinical governance for our offshore medic provision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement quality improvement projects to enhance clinical governance and patient outcomes.
  • Facilitate and lead the provision of our HSE Offshore medic course, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality training and support.
  • Provide short-term offshore medic cover, if required, to ensure continuity of care and support.
  • Lead on clinical governance in our support of Wind Energy Construction Phase projects, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality clinical governance and support.
  • Support our Medical Staffing Administrator in the selection and recruitment of offshore medics, ensuring that all candidates meet the required standards.
  • Lead on internal clinical governance as directed by the director of quality/Head of Clinical Governance/Chief Medical Officer, ensuring that all clinical governance activities are aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Lead on all external clinical governance matters with respective clients, including conducting first aid/medical needs assessments, producing quality improvement plans, chairing clinical governance meetings, conducting client quality assurance visits, and producing relevant reports.
  • Ensure contractual commitments are maintained regarding frequency of calls/quality assurance visits/meetings with respective clients.
  • Provide support and advice on all matters relating to trauma, resuscitation, first aid, and associated training courses, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality clinical governance and support.
  • Support the production of training material and ensure it remains current and in line with best practice, current evidence-based guidelines, and recommendations.
  • Escalate any concerns to the appropriate associate medical director or chief medical officer, ensuring that all clinical governance activities are aligned with company policies and procedures.
  • Support the design and delivery of internal instructor training days, ensuring that all instructors receive high-quality training and support.
  • Care for all issued training equipment in line with TRS guidance, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standards.
  • Additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
Requirements
  • Current professional registration with either NMC or HCPC.
  • ILS/PLS/Trauma training.
  • Level 3 Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent.
  • Full UK driving license.
  • Internal Quality Assurance qualification or commitment to achieve.
  • HSE Offshore Medic Qualification.
  • Managing clinical governance of offshore medical programme.
  • Understanding challenges faced when delivering pre-hospital care.
  • Human Factors.
  • Risk Management.
  • Managing risk and leading on clinical governance issues.
  • Facilitating offshore medic course.
