**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly experienced Clinical Governance Specialist to lead on all aspects of clinical governance for our offshore medic provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance across our client group.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Lead on clinical governance for our offshore medic provision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects to enhance the clinical provision of our offshore medic service.
- Facilitate and lead the provision of our HSE Offshore Medic course, ensuring that all delegates receive high-quality training and education.
- Provide short-term offshore medic cover, if required, to support our clients' needs.
- Lead on clinical governance in our support of Wind Energy Construction Phase projects, ensuring that all medical aspects are managed to the highest standard.
- Support our Medical Staffing Administrator in the selection and recruitment of offshore medics, ensuring that all candidates meet the required standards.
- Lead on internal clinical governance as directed by the Director of Quality/Head of Clinical Governance/Chief Medical Officer, ensuring that all clinical aspects are managed effectively.
- Conduct first aid/medical needs assessments, producing high-quality reports and recommendations.
- Chair clinical governance meetings in the absence of the Medical Director, ensuring that all clinical aspects are discussed and addressed.
- Conduct client quality assurance visits and produce relevant reports, ensuring that all clients receive high-quality services.
- Ensure contractual commitments are maintained regarding frequency of calls/quality assurance visits/meetings with respective clients.
- Provide support and advice on all matters relating to trauma, resuscitation, first aid, and associated training courses, ensuring that all services are delivered in line with Clarksons' policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures.
- Support the production of training material, ensuring that it remains current and in line with best practice, current evidence-based guidelines, and recommendations.
- Escalate any concerns to the appropriate Associate Medical Director or Chief Medical Officer, ensuring that all clinical aspects are addressed promptly.
- Support the design and delivery of internal instructor training days, ensuring that all instructors receive high-quality training and education.
- Care for all issued training equipment in line with Clarksons' guidance, ensuring that all equipment is maintained to the highest standard.
- Additional/ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business.
**Requirements**
- Current professional registration with either NMC or HCPC.
- ILS/PLS/Trauma training.
- Level 3 Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent.
- Full UK driving license.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification or commitment to achieve.
- HSE Offshore Medic Qualification.
- Understanding of challenges faced when delivering pre-hospital care.
- Human Factors.
- Risk Management.
- Managing risk and leading on clinical governance issues.
- Facilitating offshore medic course.
