About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Governance Specialist to lead our clinical governance activities across various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of clinical care and governance in our offshore medic provision.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead on clinical governance for our offshore medic provision, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
- Develop and implement quality improvement projects to enhance the clinical provision of our offshore medic service.
- Facilitate and lead the provision of our HSE Offshore Medic course, ensuring that delegates receive high-quality training and education.
- Provide short-term offshore medic cover, as required, to support the delivery of our services.
- Lead on clinical governance in our support of Wind Energy Construction Phase projects, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Support the Medical Staffing Administrator in the selection and recruitment of offshore medics, ensuring that we attract and retain the best talent in the industry.
- Support other clinical leads through providing advice on their management of client groups and acting as a mentor to more junior members of staff.
- Lead on internal clinical governance as directed by the Director of Quality/Head of Clinical Governance/Chief Medical Officer, ensuring that our internal processes and procedures are aligned with industry best practices.
- Lead on GDPR and information governance within the Clinical Governance Division, ensuring that we maintain the highest standards of data protection and confidentiality.
- Attend all internal clinical governance meetings, ensuring that our team is informed and aligned on key issues and initiatives.
- Lead on all external clinical governance matters with respective clients, including conducting first aid/medical needs assessments, producing quality improvement plans, and chairing clinical governance meetings in the absence of the Medical Director.
- Conduct client quality assurance visits and produce relevant reports, ensuring that our services meet the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Test emergency response plans, ensuring that our services are prepared for any eventuality.
- Provide detailed reports on our clinical governance activities, ensuring that our stakeholders are informed and engaged.
- Act as a professional subject matter expert and represent the values and ethos of Trauma Resus at all times, ensuring that our services are delivered with the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
- Provide clinical advice to our clients, ensuring that they receive the best possible care and support.
- Support the delivery of cold debriefs following a serious incident, ensuring that our services are delivered with the highest standards of compassion and empathy.
Requirements
- Current professional registration with either NMC or HCPC.
- ILS/PLS/Trauma training.
- ALS/APLS/PHTLS.
- Level 3 Teaching & Assessing qualification or equivalent.
- GIC/GIC instructor.
- Full UK driving license.
- Human Factors.
- Leadership & Management.
- Internal Quality Assurance qualification or commitment to achieve.
- Risk Management.
- Health & Safety.
- HSE Offshore Medic Qualification.
- GDPR or Information Governance Qualification (or similar).
