Senior Controls Engineer - The Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a key member of our Controls Design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing PLC software for our automated warehouse systems.

Your primary focus will be on writing PLC and HMI code using Siemens TIA Portal, ensuring that the system meets the required specifications. You will also be responsible for writing functional specifications for projects and coordinating with colleagues to ensure alignment of functionality and interfaces.

In addition, you will work closely with our Project Engineering team to ensure full coordination of electrical, control, and mechanical part requirements, and provide a complete integrated design solution. You will also investigate and resolve any technical issues that arise within electrical design and PLC software systems.

As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will provide first-line training and familiarization to support team members for commissioned systems. You will also support colleagues across the business in the execution of client work, including attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, and supplier meetings.

Senior Controls Engineer - The Person:

We are looking for a candidate with strong Siemens PLC software knowledge (TIA Portal) or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn this skill. You should have a strong can-do attitude and be willing to step in and help resolve complex problems when required.
