Senior Controls Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Controls Engineer to join our team at Automation Experts Ltd. As a Senior Controls Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing PLC software for automated warehouse systems, as well as commissioning control systems on client sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop PLC software using Siemens TIA Portal to meet the requirements of the system.
- Write functional specifications for projects and coordinate with colleagues to ensure alignment of functionality and interfaces.
- Work with the Project Engineering team to ensure full coordination of electrical, control, and mechanical part requirements and a complete integrated design solution.
- Proactively work with Engineering, procurement, project management, and installations to ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and scope.
- Investigate and resolve technical issues within electrical design and PLC software systems.
- Provide first-line training and familiarization to support team members for commissioned systems.
- Support colleagues in the execution of client work, including attending customer meetings, customer sites, internal project meetings, and supplier meetings.
We are looking for a Senior Controls Engineer with a strong background in Siemens PLC software (TIA Portal) and a can-do attitude. The ideal candidate will have a strong aptitude for problem-solving and be willing to step in and help resolve complex issues when required.
Requirements:
