We are seeking an experienced Behaviour Teaching Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. The successful candidate will be working in a mainstream primary school in North London, providing 1:1 behavioural support for a student with ASD and severe challenging behaviour.

The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to build rapport with the student, who requires a good role model and someone consistent to work with in the classroom. As a Behaviour Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with the student and the teaching staff to develop strategies to support the student's behaviour and education.

This is a long-term, full-time position, and the successful candidate will be required to start immediately. To be considered for this role, you will need to have experience working with students with challenging behavioural needs and ASD, and a passion for supporting students with challenging behaviour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing 1:1 behavioural support for a student with ASD and severe challenging behaviour
  • Working closely with the teaching staff to develop strategies to support the student's behaviour and education
  • Building rapport with the student and establishing a positive relationship
  • Supporting the student's education and development in the classroom

Requirements:

  • Experience working with students with challenging behavioural needs and ASD
  • Strong ability to build rapport with students and establish positive relationships
