Job Description

Role: Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant

Location: Sandwell

Salary: £80 - £95 per day

We are seeking a Behaviour Specialist Teaching Assistant to provide support for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs (SEMH). The ideal candidate will have experience working with students who require additional support and have a passion for improving outcomes for young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEMH needs in managing their behaviour and improving their academic outcomes.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to support the SEMH needs of students.
  • Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in psychology, counselling, social work or related field (desirable but not essential).
  • Have experience working with students with SEMH needs.
  • Have knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques or be willing to learn.
