Orthopedic Surgical Care Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Quality Indicators: Monitor and report on infection rates and other key performance metrics to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Continuous Quality Improvement: Contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and procedures to enhance the delivery of care.
- Legislation, Policies, and Procedures: Ensure strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with the Theatre team to deliver high-quality patient care, communicating effectively to resolve any issues that may arise.
- Surgical Instrument Preparation: Assemble, check, and prepare surgical instruments and consumables for a wide range of operative procedures, adhering to the highest standards of hygiene and safety.
- Accident Reporting: Document and report any accidents or complaints to the Theatre Manager, following established protocols.
- Drug Custody: Maintain the safe custody and handling of drugs in accordance with Fortius policy, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Staff Education and Development: Participate in the education, training, and development of other staff members, promoting continuous learning and professional growth.
- Practice and Policy Changes: Actively contribute to changes in practice and policies in response to audits, complaints, or newly issued guidance, demonstrating adaptability and a commitment to excellence.
