Job Title: IT Portfolio Manager

Salary: Circa £65,000 with executive car allowance and benefits on top.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced IT Portfolio Manager to oversee and manage a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT programmes and excellent leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage a portfolio of IT projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define portfolio strategy, ensuring it aligns with business objectives.
  • Manage a team of project managers and allocate them across the portfolio to ensure optimal use of skills and capabilities.
  • Develop, manage and track portfolio budget and performance, ensuring projects are delivered within financial constraints.
  • Regularly report on the status, health, and performance of the portfolio to executive leadership.
  • Implement and maintain governance frameworks to ensure consistent project delivery across the portfolio.
  • Develop the skills and capabilities of the project management team, identifying training and development needs.
Requirements:
  • Proven track record of delivering large-scale IT programmes.
  • Excellent leadership skills, with experience managing a team of project managers.
  • Strong understanding of current IT trends and technologies.
  • Desirable: AMP, PRINCE2, Chartered PM, experience in the Engineering Industry.
