**Job Description:**

We are seeking a skilled ED Coding Consultant to review and update investigation and treatment codes inputted by Clinical staff onto MSS with hand-written clinical documentation that has been scanned into MSS.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Review and update investigation and treatment codes on MSS.
  • Update omissions onto the MSS system for each patient using Changed Tariff reports.
  • Closely follow the Standard Operating Procedure for this process to ensure data is recorded, stored, and archived appropriately.

**Requirements:**

  • Significant experience and sound knowledge in the use of patient information and coding systems used within the NHS.
  • Ability to deliver a high standard of coding completeness and accuracy in a timely manner to meet commissioning and Payment by Results timescales.
  • GSE Level 4 or above Mathematics and English.
  • Able to update and maintain various IT software packages.
  • Good organizational skills.

**We offer a competitive salary of £38,890 - £44,414 per annum, depending on experience, as well as a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, annual leave entitlement, and access to training and development opportunities. The successful candidate will be required to participate in the annual appraisal process and adhere to all policies regarding Confidentiality.
