Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to join our legal team. The successful candidate will manage a diverse caseload, representing the company/clients in legal disputes, developing litigation strategies, and providing legal counsel on complex matters. This role requires strong advocacy, analytical skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Case Management:

• Represent the company/clients in civil, commercial, and corporate litigation.
• Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
• Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
• Appear in court, conduct depositions, and engage in settlement negotiations.

1. Litigation Strategy:

• Develop and implement legal strategies for litigation cases.
• Assess legal risks and provide strategic advice to senior management or clients.
• Manage settlement negotiations and advise on potential resolutions.

1. Client/Stakeholder Engagement:

• Maintain regular communication with clients, external counsel, and stakeholders.
• Provide legal counsel and updates on case progress and outcomes.
• Foster strong client relationships to ensure understanding of legal issues and objectives.

1. Compliance & Risk Mitigation:

• Advise on legal risks, potential liabilities, and compliance issues in litigation matters.
• Review and assess legal documents, contracts, and agreements relevant to disputes.

1. Team Collaboration:

• Collaborate with internal legal team members and outside counsel as necessary.
• Work closely with other departments, including compliance, regulatory, and risk teams.
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, or support staff as needed.

1. Reporting:

• Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and litigation summaries for management.
• Monitor and report on litigation costs and budgeting for legal expenses.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Education: Law degree from an accredited institution.
• Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in the United Kingdom and in good standing.
• Experience:
• 5 years PQE
• Demonstrated experience in trial and appellate advocacy.
• Experience with dispute resolution and mediation is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong legal research and analytical abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Familiarity with litigation management software and other relevant legal tools.
