Job Title: Litigation AttorneyAt Private Property Acquisition Company, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Litigation Attorney to manage a diverse caseload, representing the company/clients in legal disputes, developing litigation strategies, and providing legal counsel on complex matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Case Management:
- Represent the company/clients in civil, commercial, and corporate litigation.
- Handle all aspects of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and appeals.
- Conduct legal research, draft motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
- Appear in court, conduct depositions, and engage in settlement negotiations.
- Litigation Strategy:
- Develop and implement legal strategies for litigation cases.
- Assess legal risks and provide strategic advice to senior management or clients.
- Manage settlement negotiations and advise on potential resolutions.
- Client/Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain regular communication with clients, external counsel, and stakeholders.
- Provide legal counsel and updates on case progress and outcomes.
- Foster strong client relationships to ensure understanding of legal issues and objectives.
- Compliance & Risk Mitigation:
- Advise on legal risks, potential liabilities, and compliance issues in litigation matters.
- Review and assess legal documents, contracts, and agreements relevant to disputes.
- Team Collaboration:
- Collaborate with internal legal team members and outside counsel as necessary.
- Work closely with other departments, including compliance, regulatory, and risk teams.
- Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, paralegals, or support staff as needed.
- Reporting:
- Prepare legal reports, risk assessments, and litigation summaries for management.
- Monitor and report on litigation costs and budgeting for legal expenses.
