Job Title: Environmental Sustainability Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team at the forefront of the Fresh Produce industry.

The successful candidate will assist in managing key areas, including Food Waste, Energy & Green House Gas (GHG) Emissions, Sustainable Agriculture, and Sustainability Insights, Data & Reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Monitor and maintain supplier due diligence with attention to detail across all technical/compliance platforms.
  2. Support the technical compliance team in an administrative function, working closely with colleagues.
  3. Gather data through supplier contact and relationship building, utilizing high IT competency in Power BI, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Requirements:

  1. A Graduate with a relevant Environmental Science / Geography / Agronomy Degree, with experience in climate change, food waste, sustainable agriculture/manufacturing.
  2. Familiarity with the Fresh Produce sector, particularly Fruit categories.
  3. Strong communication skills, ability to work accurately with attention to detail, and proficiency in administration and team support in a fast-paced environment.
  4. Ability to work confidently at all levels, with professionalism and commitment, Monday - Friday, 8.00am - 5.00pm, with some flexibility required.

Salary: Up to £32k per annum, dependent on experience.

Location: Kent, UK.
