About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Surveyor to join our dynamic Business Rates Team in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough inspections and measurements of client properties to ensure accurate valuations.
  • Utilize cutting-edge technology and CAD programs to create detailed floor plans and reports.
  • Manage client cases from start to finish, formulating and presenting appeals to achieve the best possible outcomes.
  • Prepare and analyze assessment reports, gathering evidence and data to support business rates appeals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date company records and databases.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, both verbally and in writing, to ensure strong relationships and excellent service.
  • Meet and exceed team KPIs, contributing to the overall success of the Business Rates Team and Altus Group.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in rating and business rates appeals.
  • University degree in a relevant field, such as Real Estate or Property Valuation.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make informed decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of autonomy and flexibility.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and CRM systems, with the ability to learn and adapt to new technology.
