Job Title: Senior Chef

We are seeking an experienced Senior Chef to join our team at Oulton Manor, a luxury residential care home in Leeds. As a Senior Chef, you will be responsible for leading our catering team and delivering a high-quality dining experience for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, ensuring a seamless service.
  • Supervise and train catering assistants to maintain high standards of food preparation and presentation.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health & safety procedures, ensuring a safe working environment for all staff.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of kitchen equipment.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Cater craft or similar award.
  • Health & safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven chef and people management experience.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives.
Skills:
  • Able to negotiate, influence, and prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Flexible and innovative, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
