Austin Fraser is seeking an experienced Quality Line Technician to join our team. As a key member of our production line, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained. Your role will involve monitoring and addressing non-conformities, reviewing failure modes, and documenting results in site systems.

The ideal candidate will have previous automotive quality experience, including problem-solving skills (PPS), and be skilled in reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings. Computer/system literacy with experience using systems like SAP is also essential.

We offer a competitive salary of £14.50-£15 per hour DOE, paid on a temp contract basis. You will work Monday to Thursday: 07:00 to 16:00, and Friday: 07:00 to 12:00, with a 30-minute break per day included.

Key responsibilities include:
  1. Monitoring and addressing non-conformities to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  2. Reviewing failure modes for cosmetic issues, checking lineside stock; for dimensional issues, using 2D engineering drawings as a reference.
  3. Logging rejects into SAP to update stock figures.
  4. Informing QE (Quality Engineers) for further supplier follow-up and liaison as needed.
  5. Conducting various visual and functional checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  6. Accurately documenting all results and inputs into site systems, including SAP and PMS.

The Candidate
  1. Skilled in reading and interpreting 2D engineering drawings.
  2. Previous automotive quality experience, including problem-solving skills (PPS), is essential.
  3. Computer/system literate with experience using systems like SAP.
  4. Flexible and willing to support multiple sites, with placement within 30-45 minutes of home.
