Teaching Personnel is seeking an experienced and patient tutor to work with primary-aged children who require support outside of mainstream schooling due to social, emotional, or mental health needs.

About the Role
  • This position involves conducting one-to-one tutoring sessions during school hours for students working below average levels for their age group.
  • You will assess pupils' strengths and weaknesses, develop personalized learning plans, and create engaging and interactive sessions tailored to each student's needs.

The ideal candidate will have a teaching qualification or extensive tutoring experience in primary education, as well as a strong understanding of the primary curriculum and safeguarding principles.

The estimated salary for this position is £30,000 - £40,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.

Requirements
  • A teaching qualification or equivalent experience in primary education
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum and safeguarding principles
  • Experience working with students who may exhibit challenging behavior
  • Familiarity with EHCPs and ability to follow them when planning lessons and learning
