About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Geophysicist to join our team at Get Staffed Online Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will work on diverse geophysical surveying projects, focusing on vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, and processing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup and operate geophysical survey equipment
• Conduct on-board and remote quality control (QC) of data
• Process and interpret geophysical data
• Lead the development of Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
• Manage data and reporting processes
• Research and implement improvements in geophysical methods
• Assist in training and mentoring other team members

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant geoscience discipline (preferred)
• Experience with one of the following: Magnetometer Processing and Interpretation, Shallow high resolution seismic processing or interpretation, Sidescan Sonar Processing and Interpretation, Shallow high resolution marine geophysical data acquisition
• Valid UK Driving License

Working Conditions:

• Flexible working hours when in the office
• Standard hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 9 AM to 5 PM
• Weekend work during field operations, with time off in lieu

Fieldwork Commitment:

• Willingness to travel for fieldwork, with a minimum of 25% of time spent in the field (typically 2 to 4-week rotations)
