About the Role:


As a key member of our client's team, you will work on diverse geophysical surveying projects. Your focus will be on vessel mobilisation, data acquisition, and processing, utilising various geophysical data sources.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Setup and operate geophysical survey equipment
  • Conduct quality control of data
  • Process and interpret geophysical data
  • Develop risk assessments and method statements
  • Manage data and reporting processes
  • Research and implement improvements in geophysical methods
  • Assist in training and mentoring other team members

Schedule:

  • Flexible working hours when in the office
  • Standard hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 9 AM to 5 PM
  • Weekend work during field operations, with time off in lieu


Qualifications Requirements:


Education:



  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant geoscience discipline (preferred)


Experience:


Experience with one of the following as a minimum:



  • Magnetometer Processing and Interpretation
  • Shallow high resolution seismic processing or interpretation
  • Sidescan Sonar Processing and Interpretation
  • Shallow high resolution marine geophysical data acquisition


Fieldwork Commitment:

  • Willingness to travel for fieldwork, with a minimum of 25% of time spent in the field


We estimate the salary for this position to be £30,000-£60,000 per year basic plus fieldwork allowances and bonuses, depending on experience and qualifications.
