Windows Systems Administrator

Global Relay is seeking a highly skilled Windows Administrator to join our Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our Windows System Administrators, Security staff, and Cyber Security Operations Center team to manage and support our Windows environments.
Key Responsibilities:- Administer corporate Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange environments, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
- Develop and implement desktop management policies to secure desktops, apply group policies, and deploy software.
- Update documentation and write new procedures to detail Exchange and Active Directory configurations.
- Deliver timely and high-quality incident resolution and post-incident analysis to identify root causes and prevent future issues.
- Develop strategies to provide proactive support, resulting in fewer incidents, increased availability, and accelerated deployments.
- Respond to Support and Operations cases related to Exchange, AD, or other Windows Server issues in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all Windows systems operate with high service availability and optimal performance.
- Minimum 3-5 years of direct experience with Exchange and at least 10 years of overall experience in IT administration and advanced computer support.
- Technology infrastructure design, implementation, and management experience, including Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, LDAP, MDT, and SCCM.
- Ability to monitor, test, and analyze system activities to ensure maximum performance, efficiency, and availability.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, including experience with mailbox server failover and cluster management.
- Extensive knowledge of Windows server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, DFS, DFS-R, File and Print Services, and GPO validation, management, and implementation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Exchange PowerShell commands needed to manage Exchange features, roles, mailboxes, performance, and troubleshooting.
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office applications, including Microsoft Project and Visio, with knowledge of Office Outlook features, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with troubleshooting and resolving complex technical problems, writing reports, and creating documentation processes and procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in both verbal and written English.
- Knowledge of IP phone systems would be considered an asset.
- Microsoft MCSA, A+, or MTA certification would be considered an asset.
