Category Development Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Category Development Manager to join our team at JACOBS DOUWE EGBERTS (JDE). As a key member of our Category Development and Shopper Marketing team, you will play a critical role in driving the growth of our coffee category.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement category vision and strategy to drive long-term growth and profitability.
  • Lead analysis of shopper behavior and opportunities to inform category plans.
  • Collaborate with customers, National Account Managers, and Sales Controllers to deliver category plans.
  • Deliver and implement category 'Big Rock' JDE priorities, including NPD and promotional analysis.
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with customers to ensure JDE is their supplier of choice.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 4 years' experience in Category Development, Buying, or Account Management roles in FMCG.
  • Deep knowledge of UK retail shoppers and customers in Top 4 grocery (Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons).
  • Proven ability to work in x-functional teams, especially across sales and marketing.
  • Marketing literate with ability to navigate strategic consumer and brand strategy and executional, commercial detail.
  • Knowledge of several information system tools (Nielsen, IRI, Kantar, Dunnhumby etc).
