Job Title: Lecturer (Teaching & Scholarship)

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lecturer to join our team at the University of Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and scholarship to our students, as well as contributing to the development of our curriculum.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver teaching and supervision activities across undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
  • Contribute to the design and development of our curriculum, ensuring a research-led and scholarly approach to student learning and assessment.
  • Make effective use of learning technologies to support and enhance course delivery, feedback, and assessment.
  • Ensure an inclusive and evidence-based approach to facilitating learning in a range of face-to-face and online delivery formats.
  • Engage in scholarship by undertaking methodologically rigorous, educationally relevant enquiries into student learning and disseminating evidence to enhance teaching practices.
  • Develop relationships with external stakeholders to support knowledge exchange, public understanding, and outreach activities.
  • Participate in local and international activities associated with student recruitment, orientation, and induction.
  • Engage in continuing professional development activities as required.
Requirements:
  • PhD in Psychology and/or Neuroscience or equivalent.
  • Sufficient breadth and/or depth of knowledge in the specialist subject/discipline and of teaching methods and techniques.
  • Thorough knowledge and ability to apply relevant policy, practice, and procedures.
  • Up-to-date knowledge and specialist understanding in the field with an ability to engage students.
