Our client is seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Analyst with experience in the utilities and energy sector, preferably with knowledge of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS). The role involves utilizing Postman, Azure DevOps, SQL, and System Integration Testing methodologies. This position offers hybrid working arrangements and is within the scope of IR35.
Role Overview: As a Quality Assurance Analyst, you will be tasked with creating and executing test cases and scripts that align with project requirements. You will identify and monitor defects while collaborating closely with Scrum teams and external technical and business partners to ensure project milestones are met efficiently.
Position Details:
- Job Title: Quality Assurance Analyst / System Tester / Test Engineer
- Contract Duration: 6 months
- Work Arrangement: Hybrid / Remote
- Day Rate: £400 - £425 per day, within IR35 regulations
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in agile ceremonies as part of the Scrum team.
- Collaborate with Business Analysts to comprehend tasks and provide time estimates.
- Develop and execute test scripts.
- Identify and document defects.
- Conduct System Integration Testing and Functional Testing.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in testing, including Functional Testing and System Integration Testing.
- Must possess experience in the utilities and energy sector, ideally with knowledge of Market Wide Half Hourly Settlement (MHHS).
- Experience with Azure DevOps or similar tools is required.
- Proficient in writing SQL queries.
- Experience with Postman is essential.
- Background in System Integration Testing (SIT) is necessary.
- Experience in performance, load, and volume testing.
- Skilled in designing and executing test cases using tools such as SOAP UI, Postman, or Loadrunner.
- Experience in defect logging and management, with the ability to document evidence of test execution.
- Quick learner with a solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, particularly in Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with analytical and problem-solving abilities.
