About the Opportunity

We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist or Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust. As a member of our Colleague Support Service, you will play a critical role in promoting staff wellbeing and delivering high-quality psychological interventions.


Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Delivering brief, evidence-based psychological interventions to colleagues experiencing emotional distress.
  • Fostering a culture of psychological wellbeing within the organisation.
  • Developing and implementing therapeutic plans tailored to individual needs.
  • Providing consultations, supervision, and shadowing opportunities to Assistant Psychologists and Placement Students.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have:

  • A doctoral level training in clinical/counselling psychology OR core mental health profession with additional therapy qualifications and accreditation (BABCP/BACP) OR qualifications in 2 or more therapy models (BABAP/BACP accredited qualifications) with minimum 3 years NHS experience.
  • Experience of psychological research and/or Quality Improvement methodology.
  • Experience of working with colleagues with emotional distress or mental health difficulties.

Estimated Salary: £45,000 - £65,000 per annum
