Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our team at Consortium Professional Recruitment. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless supply of materials that power our clients' production lines.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Material Planning: Analyze and plan material needs to support production schedules, ensuring optimal inventory levels and minimizing stockouts.
- Contract Negotiation: Secure optimal terms that balance quality, cost, and availability, leveraging your expertise in procurement and supply chain management.
- Supplier Collaboration: Partner with suppliers and production teams to align schedules and meet deadlines, fostering strong relationships and driving business growth.
- Warehouse Integration: Work closely with the warehouse team to optimize the flow of materials, ensuring efficient and effective inventory management.
- Schedule Management: Monitor and adjust material schedules to adapt to production changes, ensuring timely delivery and minimizing disruptions.
- Order Fulfillment: Ensure timely placement and progression of orders to meet delivery targets, maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Quality Assurance: Contribute to QA processes to uphold supplier performance and standards, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Team Development: Provide insights and recommendations to enhance the purchasing strategy and support business growth, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Procurement Specialist with a strong understanding of cost versus value in a manufacturing context. You should have a proven track record in a purchasing or procurement role, with a strong understanding of agile manufacturing processes and supply chain QA systems.
What's on Offer- Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE
