Main Responsibilities for Buyer - Capex
- Support the Department in delivering its Strategic Objectives, taking responsibility for engaging with stakeholders to ensure early engagement and a teaming approach throughout the Procurement Lifecycle.
- Sourcing activities which generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets.
- Ensure procurement activities align with the business Purpose.
- Draft and negotiate Supply Chain contract Terms and Conditions, ensuring Terms are integrated appropriately.
- Lead cross-functional Sourcing Teams to undertake compliant procurements in accordance with the approved Sourcing Strategy, ensuring the team is aware of and adheres to their responsibilities.
- Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure that service, quality, cost, security of supply, and the deployment of supplier capabilities in innovation are secured.
The Ideal Candidate - Essential Criteria for Buyer - Capex
- CIPS qualified / Degree level of Education
- Experience in non-repeatable procurement, including a variety of procurement routes and knowledge of exemptions.
- Able to hold people to account and lead cross-functional teams.
- Able to manage multiple projects running in parallel through exceptional priority/time management.
- Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement sourcing strategies.
