Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer - Continental Shift

The Engineering Team at Macro Plastics, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and reliable Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join their team in the United Kingdom. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our production plant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support all engineering breakdowns, diagnose faults, and replace machine parts to minimize downtime.
  • Rectify hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical issues to ensure optimal equipment performance.
  • Enhance, repair, and maintain all plant, equipment, and services within the manufacturing facility according to the preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Assist with the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment, collaborating with specialist Tool Room Engineers.
  • Participate in improvement projects during planned downtime, identifying engineering solutions to maximize plant efficiency.
  • Maintain relationships with plant and services contractors/suppliers, arranging for necessary engineering works.
  • Organize and maintain the technical database, ensuring accurate records of maintenance activities.
  • Order spares/consumables required for in-house engineering activities or contracted work.
  • Collaborate with Production, Tool Change, and Tool Room teams to achieve engineering objectives.
  • Operate within key Engineering and Health & Safety codes, ensuring a safe working environment.
  • Hold a Level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Electrical or Multi-Skilled Engineering.
  • Possess GCSE Grade C and above or equivalent in Maths and English.
  • Proven working knowledge of plant maintenance and repairs, including hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
  • Able to read and understand electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic drawings.
