We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Social Care Assistant to join our team in Gosforth, Newcastle Upon Tyne. The successful candidate will provide high-quality care and support to a 65-year-old gentleman with semantic dementia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accompany the individual to his favourite venues, including his local pub
- Support the individual with daily tasks, such as preparing drinks and snacks
- Monitor the individual's safety and well-being
- Assist the individual with his strict routine and daily activities
Requirements:
- Experience working with individuals with dementia
- Knowledge of dementia care and support
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
