Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Rehabilitation Therapist to join our acute Neurosciences team based at the University Hospital of Wales (UHW). This role will support the acute Neurosciences wards and provide assessment/early intervention/rehabilitation for patients with highly complex needs following traumatic or acquired brain injury.

The successful candidate will have significant post-registration experience in rehabilitation relevant to the post and be able to demonstrate specialist skills within neuro, rehabilitation or disability management. They will also have experience working as part of a multi-disciplinary team (MDT) and be active in service development and quality initiatives.

About the Role
  • This is an exciting opportunity to shape and develop our Occupational Therapy offer for those with occupational needs as a result of brain injury.
  • You will deliver neuro-based specialist assessment and early rehabilitation to optimise occupational performance, including complex seating/postural management, cognition/delirium management, upper limb rehabilitation/splinting.
  • You will continue development of our early Occupational Therapy rehabilitation offer, engage in multiprofessional joint working and optimise experience ensuring smooth transfer across our specialist pathways.

The salary for this role is estimated to be around £35,000-£45,000 per annum, depending on experience.
