About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to join our client's exceptional English department in Croydon, South London. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to impart a comprehensive, diverse, and engaging curriculum to KS3/4/5 students.

Responsibilities
  • Craft stimulating English lessons for KS3/4/5 students, utilizing creative approaches to enhance student engagement and understanding.
  • Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with the school's curriculum, ensuring a cohesive and effective learning experience.
  • Evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth and development.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the English department's effectiveness, sharing best practices and expertise to drive student success.
  • Stay abreast of the latest teaching methodologies and curriculum developments, applying this knowledge to inform and improve teaching practices.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Degree in English, with a strong foundation in literature, language, and pedagogy.
  • PGCE or QTS, demonstrating a commitment to ongoing professional development and a passion for teaching.
  • Proven experience teaching English to KS3/4/5 students, with a track record of success and a deep understanding of the curriculum.
