Job Title: Head Housekeeper

Join Kanso Facilities Management Ltd as a key member of our Housekeeping team, responsible for leading and managing the department to deliver exceptional service and maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Housekeeping team to ensure efficient and effective operations, including monitoring and supervising bedroom cleaning processes, controlling stock levels, and managing staff uniforms and protective clothing.
  • Oversee all checks and controls regarding cleaning standards, including public and ancillary areas, and ensure compliance with Brand Standards and best practices.
  • Control costs and expenses within budgets and margins, monitor wastage, and encourage energy-saving initiatives without compromising service or safety.
  • Plan and organize special periodic cleaning projects, complete administrative functions, and assist with annual budget preparation.
  • Ensure effective security of keys and property, challenge suspicious behavior, and report incidents according to procedures.
  • Develop and maintain a positive work environment, promote teamwork, and engage in personal development to benefit the business.
  • Address guest complaints promptly, capture incidents in a spreadsheet, and share with the team to prevent repetition.
  • Be an ambassador for the hotel, aware of in-house sales policies, and hotel facilities, and ensure all staff members are conversant with Brand Standards and best practices.
  • Participate in audits and inspections, working to achieve and exceed laid-down standards, including QA, SALT, and Health and Safety audits.
Requirements:
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with experience in leading a team and managing budgets.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work harmoniously with clients, colleagues, and managers.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong work ethic and commitment to job satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations, with the ability to identify and report hazards, and ensure staff are trained in statutory Fire, Health and Safety training.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
