About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Banana Moon Kempston. As a key member of our nurturing team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our children.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement operational policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Adhere to room ratios and ensure accurate daily room registers and records of children in attendance.
  • Contribute to a safe and healthy environment, completing risk assessments and hazard logs as required.
  • Be vigilant in safeguarding the welfare and safety of children and adults, reporting concerns to the DSL.
  • Administer first aid and medication as necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Support the settling in of new children, liaising with parents and staff to ensure a smooth transition.
Requirements
  • A relevant Level 2/3 qualification in childcare, as defined by the Children's Workforce Development Council.
  • DBS enhanced disclosure within the child workforce sector.
  • Paediatric First Aid certificate, safeguarding training, and one year's post-qualifying experience.
