Production Operative

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Production/Packing Operative to join our team at Cranswick Pet Products in Lincolnshire. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for packing processed animal food safely and efficiently, meeting the required finished standard.
Main Responsibilities:- Operate a packing line, including product feed, bagging, technical checks, and recording palletization.
- Create stock on CEMEX (stock system) and capture, segregate, and transfer waste for rework.
- Clean as you go and perform wider site cleaning as required.
- Manufacturing background, preferably in food, pet food, or FMCG.
- Food Safety L2 certification.
- Awareness of BRC and IOSH Working Safely.
- Some knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
- Can-do attitude, seeking solutions and being honest and empathetic.
- Team player, willing to work collaboratively and adapt to change.
- Leave work in the same condition as you arrive.
- Pack and palletize safe product for customers, right first time, in a clean and controlled environment.
- Achieve the above at the lowest possible cost by reducing waste, running the asset at the required speed, and effectively escalating downtime for resolution.
- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 or Health and Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order SI 1978/1039.
- Respect and honour Cranswick ethical policies and codes of conduct.
- Work in an environmentally and energy-efficient manner, respecting Cranswick Environmental and Energy policies and Second Nature principles.
