Automotive Systems Specialist

Octane Recruitment is seeking a skilled and experienced Vehicle Technician to join our team in Blaydon. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles makes and models. This position requires a strong understanding of automotive systems and the ability to use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex problems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues
* Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections
* Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues
* Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used
* Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations
* Maintain a clean and organized work area
* Keep up-to-date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques
Requirements:
* You will need to have some experience as a vehicle technician and/or a relevant and up-to-date qualification
* It would be a huge bonus if you had an MOT qualification as well
* You will be a person who takes great pride in your work
* You will have incredible attention to detail and an eye for spotting things others cannot
* You will need a full valid UK driving licence and
* A stocked toolbox that you can use for work
