Claims Negotiator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Claims Negotiator to join our team in Glasgow. As a Claims Negotiator, you will be responsible for negotiating claims until conclusion, up to the point of a Hearing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Run your own caseload with minimal training and supervision.
  • Develop the capability of issuing proceedings for motor accident cases.
  • Process allocated claims using the advanced Case Management system.
  • Handle all new claims correspondence.
  • Establish liability and indemnity for all claims.
  • Negotiate claims until conclusion, up to the point of a Hearing.
  • Maintain an effective diary regime.
  • Refer any claim to the appropriate team Manager if needed.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in issuing proceedings for RTA's.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills to build relationships with colleagues.
  • Computer literate with the ability to adapt to new technologies.
