About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Nurse to join our Operations Centre team at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting patient safety and capacity management within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate daily meetings and coordinate the admission of emergency patients, ensuring appropriate placement according to clinical need.
  2. Monitor trigger factors and implement the Trust's Escalation Protocol to minimize bed crisis through effective planning.
  3. Support the implementation of national and local developments for Government targets, including liaison with Commissioning Groups concerning delayed discharges.
  4. Participate in and coordinate the Trust's Emergency Response Teams to respond to clinical emergencies.
  5. Allocate bank and Agency staff and redeploy nurses within the Trust to match resources to workload.
Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with:

  • Registration with the NMC
  • Mentorship Preparation Programme, ENB 998 or equivalent
  • Acute Care/Specialist course, e.g. Physical Assessment at Level 3
